it is by david walliams but i have to say i love roald dahl books too because they are descriptive and child-friendly.
In DT, our class (Mississippi) did bread tasting. It was fun and interesting because we had to taste different types of bread. We had to write down the smell, the appearance and the taste of the bread. After we tried it, we had to give it a score out of ten. That was definitely really fun!

I loved teaching this lesson when I was in Year 6, mostly because I enjoyed seeing the reaction when the class started eating the delicious rye bread.
