Day two at Sayers Croft – Pitch Hill

I’m really proud of Year 4 today.  Together, we walked up and down five miles of steep, beautiful and exceptionally hot English countryside with barely one word of complaint.  We walked through fields of orchids, past (but obviously not into) charming rural pubs and carefully avoided three actually-not-all-that-bothered horses.  We saw incredible views, experienced the dubious joys of weeing in bushes and got pretty hot and sweaty.  When we got back, we had the perfect reward for our endeavours – a swim in the open air pool.  To top it all off, there was ice-cream for pudding at dinner.

We’ve got a full day of activities tomorrow, and the children are now settling down to sleep.
