Zoom!
So, yesterday I had my first ever Zoom conference with some of Peake class (thanks to Tom’s mum for setting it up!). Zoom is a video meeting program that lets you talk to a load of peole at the same time. Here are five things I learnt from my first ever Zoom chat:
- It’s really great to see everyone’s faces when you’ve been stuck inside for a while.
- You need to have some rules to stop it being total chaos. We said that nobody is allowed to record or screenshot Zoom meetings, and we worked on ways of getting people to stop talking and listen – easier said than done!
- Olivia looks really scary when she films herself under a darkened blanket.
- It’s best to use the gallery setting – otherwise it zooms in on whoever’s talking (that’s why it’s called Zoom!) which can make you a bit seasick. I got that tip from Serena – thanks!
- The Chicken Lord has some crazy inflatable guitar skills.
Let me know any other tips you have for video meetings!
